Watching, Wondering & Responding to the “Why” of Infant & Toddler Behavior
Using Our Understanding to Plan Responses for Challenging Behaviors

Using “watch, wonder, and adapt” strategies can help caregivers examine the purpose or meaning of behavior. Practice developing a problem-solving plan based on your understanding to support young children who exhibit challenging behavior.
