This workshop will introduce you to compelling, practical ways to collaborate with children’s ‘forever-teachers’ and understand the societal forces that we’re up against. Building family and community strengths is key to a brighter future for children at, and after, school.

$30 if taken for training hours – 8 Set One hours

$55 if taken for 1 ED 399 college credit – this requires an additional follow-up activity and is equivalent to 10 Set Two hours

Child Care Resource Network is supporting the SOU Workshop Series by entering training hours into the Oregon Registry if the workshop is taken for community training hours, and by offering scholarship assistance to pay for the credit portion of the workshop if taken for credit.

CCRN will reimburse the $25 cost difference between taking the workshop for training hours or for credit.

Trainer: Felicity Elworthy is the Family and Community Partnership Manager at Southern Oregon Head Start, working iwth the Head Start team to provide family support and parent engagement in children's education. A graduate of the University of Wales and the University of Oxford, she has worked and taught in many different parts of the world. Josephine County has been her home since 1984.
