When parents and care givers are allies in caring for young children, everyone benefits. Through everyday moments with parents, teachers can serve to strengthen parent-child interactions and reduce the potential for harmful parenting behaviors.

Join Kelly Carter to explore how caregivers can support parents and contribute to the healthy development of very young children.

Trainer: Kelly Carter, MA, LPC, is an Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant and Early Intervention Specialist for Southern Oregon ESD’s Early Intervention/Early Childhood Special Education program, Early Head Start, and Head Start in Josephine County. She is a member of the statewide Early Childhood Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports work group and has served as a regional Positive Behavior Supports Coach. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and has worked as an infant mental health therapist, child and family therapist, and social worker.
