Culture Competency: Valuing Diversity Using Conscious Discipline

Participants will engage in experiential activities where they can see and notice how their beliefs, stereotypes, power/dominance and assumptions about other people affect their ability to connect with those who are perceived as different. Poverty reaches across all cultures; participants will learn that poverty is not just about money, and how stress impacts people who live in poverty. Learn hands on strategies that improve communication and create environments where diversity is valued.
