Bringing Culture into the Classroom

This course will be taught by a diversity trainer for children and adults in the early education field. The class will teach child care providers strategies for identifying unfair behaviors and practices in the classroom. This class will support the teachers understanding to recognize gender, age, and economic class biases in preschool age children. Students will understand how to support and provide guidance for young chidren around their unfair behaviors and attitudes regarding others different from themselves. Students will see a wide range of developmentally and culturally appropriate activities for preschool age children.
