Using the BIGS (Behavior Intervention Guidelines)

This is an opportunity to gain insight into children’s challenging behaviors and get tools and strategies that really work.

The BIGs is a simple observation tool that helps teachers develop a consistent and specific “plan of action” on how to respond to inappropriate behaviors and how to reinforce desirable behaviors.

Trainer: Denise Morland, Infant & Family Teacher at Douglas ESD Child Development Services, brings a wealth of insight and experience to this work. Denise was a coach for the PICCE Inclusion Project this summer.
