Mountains of Opportunities: Interdisciplinary Collaboration in the New Millennium

On October 4-6, 2017, the Division for Early Childhood of the Council for Exceptional Children will bring together a passionate group of 1,200(est.) dedicated individuals who work with or on behalf of young children (0-8) with special needs and their families. Leading experts will gather from all over the world to unite with other participants and attendees who are intimately invested in early intervention, early childhood special education, and related disciplines.
There are several discounts and scholarships for local participants that we wanted to share with you! You do not need to be a DEC member to take part in these discounts (although we encourage you to join DEC!).

Oregon Resident Discounts:
Oregon residents who use discount code LOCALOR17 will receive 15% off their conference registration. It can't be applied retroactively, but the discount will be valid from today all the way through on-site registration.

Family Scholarships:
DEC provides scholarships to members of families with young children (between ages 0 and 8) with special needs. The Family Scholarship covers the cost of conference registration for the family members who apply to attend.
Application Process
We request that parents/families provide the following information:
o Information about their child
o Their goals for their child
o Why they're interested in attending the conference
o How they plan to use the information they learn at the conference
Registration Process
Once DEC receives an application, we will send the family member(s) a discount code for 100% off conference registration.

Volunteer Discounts:
Anyone who volunteers on-site, before the conference or after the conference, for a 4-hour shift will receive a $50 discount on their registration, which we can apply once we have everyone's volunteer shifts slotted. We are working on setting the volunteer shifts, creating a form for volunteers to enter their information, and an email to send to all conference attendees who are interested in volunteering.
